Creating a VCard for your small business

I have been working on organizing my business life this last week in an attempt to save time anywhere possible.

One of the ways is that I have begun requesting V Cards, from new clients, networking partners, and anyone who emails me. I spend too much time entering signature details manually into outlook contacts, and as a small business owner I bet you do as well, Of course that’s when we actually do it and don’t simply flag the email to follow up on. (How many of those flagged emails are in your inbox?).

So today I encourage you to go into outlook right NOW. Really it will take 2.5 minutes.

Create yourself a Vcard - be sure to include either your PHOTO or your logo so your contact stands out in my contacts. Also enter some text to remind people WHY they have your Vcard in the first place, what do you do, what do you offer, are you willing to give them a free consultation, a discount ?

Then post your Vcard to your website, and attach when ever you email a new or potential client or business contact. This will help all of us over extended small business owners save time and stay organized.

You can find instructions at Microsoft .

Have a Word press blog and want to allow users to download your VCard ?

I found the following service that can help you.

Option One - Free with ad or aprox $15 a year for premium Online V Card service.
You can also EASILY insert this into your website - simply save your Vcard to your desktop upload it to your website and link to the Vcard.

You can grab my VCard here:

Remember to consider the value of your contact details being easily accessible to potential clients and weigh it with any spam you may receive as a result.
