I found the greatest twitter spam reduction tool this morning.  It works like an email spam filter that requires anyone who emails you to run through a captcha to ensure it’s not spam. Though in this case it validates your Twitter followers.

True Twit will send out a DM to anyone who follows you requiring them to click a link to VALIDATE they are not a bot.  I personally am ok with tweeples using auto follow programs – but only if they are promoting an active twitter account that actually is for a real person or business. If they are a real person then they should be checking their DM box on a regular basis.

Please note this IS going to reduce the number of people who follow you – BUT it is going to increase the value of your followers.

Give them a try for a few days and see if it helps reduce your twitter ‘spam’.
