Adgitize advertising update

As promised, I am sharing my ad campaign results from the adgitize blog advertising test campaign I ran.
I ran a 125 button with a CLEAR call to action and an offer for bloggers.
I received 59781 ad impressions and 535 clicks. The CTR was bit low .0.0089 but over a cost per click of less then 2 cents per click which is great. I did receive some sign ups ( no payment required) though I didn’t track the number of signups.
So if you are looking to increase traffic to your blog with some paid advertising on a budget, I would say adgitize blog ads is a good option. I am not sure how affiliate offers would convert as they audience is rather broad.
Also, as the site becomes more popular you may find your impressions will be less.

Great job on trying to quantify your results. Traffic is meaningless if you aren’t reaching your goals. If you don’t know your goals, you can’t even begin to measure success or failure. I’d really like to see a follow-up article some time in the future to answer some questions.
1. Did those who answered your call to action decline over time? If the same people are clicking your ad daily, I’d assume they wouldn’t signup twice. This might suggest being a one time advertiser is better than being a repeat advertiser. MAybe even change the offer monthly. RSS subscribe one month, sign up for a newsletter the second month.
2. How did the offer convert compared to more traditional banner adverting placed on other blogs? Are random visitors to these blogs also reacting to your ad?
3. If you run two ads over the same network, does the look of your ad really matter, or are the signups coming from members expressing their loyalty.
4. I’d really like to know the cost per signup. Since in the end that is really all that matters. If I went out and clicked your banner every time I saw it, I suddenly didn’t increase the value of your investment. But if I sign up, I certainly did.

Hi there,
nice round up of YOUR advertising result.
I visited your blog, too, in the first days of your advertisement period and i saw that you haven’t an Adgitize ad in your side bar.
This causes usually less visits as most of the members want to click through to the next blog.
It seems for me you bought the two week ad for 10$ (old price – now 18$).
This means you got on average 38 clicks daily. Most of the members with Ads on their page get the double amount of clicks, at the moment you even can score up to 100 clicks per day.
For affiliate campaigns it will be always 50% less clicks as they usually don’t lead to another Adgitize advertiser.
If you like to know how you can get back the invested money in your Adgitize ad, simply click on the link (on top of the comment).
